Rifat is the only Turkish American candidate running in this year's election and he is a candidate for the Board of Directors of the Dupage County, District 1 (Covers Southern portions of Chicago). Rifat being a Democrat from Illinois, if elected, will be influential on Barack Obama, who is an Illinois Senator. He also has a high chance of being elected for the same reasons.
